Jing You is currently a professor at the School of Environment, Jinan University, China. She also serves as an editor of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. Her general research interests are in the interdisciplinary areas linking chemistry and toxicology techniques to their environmental applications with the objective of understand ecological risk of environmental contaminants in aquatic ecosystem. . She is primarily interested in addressing research questions about environmental fate and adverse effects of organic contaminants, with a focus on bioavailability and toxicity of current-use pesticides. Identifying principal toxicity in the presence of multiple stressors is also of her special interest. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles.Her current projects include assessing regional aquatic risk using a weight of evidence approach, investigating toxicokinetic and toxicodynamic processes of sediment-associated contaminants, and diagnosing key toxicants in aquatic environment using adverse outcome pathway-guided effect directed analysis and machine learning approaches.
